Science Technician (Physics) 

Term Time Only including Academy Days 

30 hours per week 

Permanent: To start w/b 15 January 2024 or as soon as possible thereafter  

Salary: TGS Support Staff 3 point 12-14, £22,400 - £23,424 15,534 - £16,244 actual)  

 

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic individual to join our friendly and experienced Science team, with specific duties within Physics. Science Technicians play a vital role in supporting learning through the preparation and maintenance of apparatus and materials for staff and students. The ideal candidate will have a background and keen interest in Science.  Experience of working as a Science Technician is advantageous but not essential as full induction and training will be provided. 

The Sciences are studied by all students throughout the School, including the Sixth Form as part of the IB Diploma.  Students become increasingly independent learners as they progress through the School and achieve excellent outcomes at GCSE and in the internationally recognised IB Diploma.
