Dover Christ Church Academy is looking to recruit an exceptional Teacher of English.  We welcome applications from expert practitioners who are committed to our vision to create a school where all children thrive and knowledge matters. This role provides an exciting opportunity to help shape our curriculum and provision throughout our new school.

Turner Schools is a growing multi-academy trust which currently comprises six schools in the Folkestone and Dover district. You will be joining the Trust at an exciting time as we move through a period of growth and development.

The successful candidate will have the motivation and desire to develop pupil's achievements within a department who are focused and determined to ensure that all pupils make exceptional progress. They will be committed to working as part of a team, have strong, up to date subject knowledge and be committed to ensuring that pupils in their care make exceptional progress.

The successful candidate will be someone who:

  • Is able to demonstrate they are an excellent practitioner with high expectations of teaching and learning, achievement and behaviour
  • Is able to inspire pupils through the delivery of engaging, creative and challenging lessons
  • Is able to support our pupils to reach their full potential
  • Can offer pupils a high quality curriculum, giving them confidence to succeed
  • Has the ability to teach English across two or more key stages.

Dover Christ Church Academy is an 11-18 mixed, non-selective Academy, located in semi-rural surroundings on the outskirts of Dover, conveniently situated near to motorway links and within easy reach of the continent.
