Are you keen to join a highly successful and inspirational academy? Strood Academy has a truly exciting opportunity to appoint a Receptionist/Administrator (Apprentice) who will join us as soon as possible.

Our successful candidate will be based in our brand new, state-of-the-art, Specialist Resource Provision (SRP) and will be joining the academy at an exciting phase of their journey. Not only will you be a member of the founding team, but you will be the 'face' of the SRP - you’ll be the first point of contact for students and visitors. Applicants should be professional, personable, and committed to providing excellent service on behalf of the SRP, and above all else our appointed candidate will have a positive work ethic and can-do attitude. Our ideal candidate will have excellent organisational and planning skills, outstanding attention to detail, and the ability to work on their own initiative with a high level of commitment and enthusiasm.

Your time in this role will be split working on reception and undertaking general administration duties to support the wider team, ensuring the effective operation of all aspects of the SRP office and reception, and proactively supporting the development of a dynamic learning community through effective delivery of administrative services by ensuring all administrative tasks are completed in aiding the operation of the Specialist Resource Provision. 

The basis of this role will be fixed-term for the duration of the apprenticeship, offering an actual salary of £10,932 per annum, (£12,500 full-time equivalent) and based on working 37 hours per week, term time + 2 weeks of inset. The working hours of this role will be Monday to Thursday 8.00 am - 4.00 pm and Fridays 8.00 am - 3.30 pm.

Total hours per week (on average): 37 hours per week (including the 20% training element of the Apprenticeship Programme) + holiday allowance

Information about the trust

As of 1st September 2024, our Trust comprises 33 geographically organised academies (17 secondaries, 14 primaries and 2 special) educating more than 24,000 students and employing 4,000 talented staff. Currently, 16 of our academies are considered to be “Outstanding” which is 53% of those which have been inspected whilst part of the Trust.
