HIGHER LEVEL TEACHING ASSISTANT

(33.75 HOURS PER WEEK / 39 WEEKS PER YEAR)

Do you have the aptitude and enjoy working in a flexible team environment?

You should be experienced in working with young children in an educational environment and be able to demonstrate working at a HLTA standard or have relevant qualifications (e.g. NVQ 4 Higher Level Teaching Assistant).  Excellent organisational and administration skills are essential as is the ability to use ICT effectively.  You should have the skills to engage individual and groups of children in effective creative learning and be a positive communicator with skills to work effectively with parents, governors, multi-agency services, staff and children.  This post will cover PPA and occasional cover and will involve delivering learning activities for the whole class and groups.  Qualification in First Aid is desirable or a willingness to train is essential.
