The succesful candidate will

  • Have the ability to work on their own initiative and have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Have a reactive manner and be able to meet tight deadlines
  • Be an effective team player
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills and a good telephone manner
  • Have a good understanding of safeguarding and data protection regulations
  • Be Flexible, have a willingness to support others and a good sense of humour
  • Willingness to undertake First Aid Training
  • Be dynamic, self-motivated and resourceful.

The ideal candidate will need strong organisational, administration, customer service and IT skills, an eye for detail and be able to work well under pressure.

We envisage this being potentially a role for 8:30-12:30 Monday to Friday or three days a week 8:30-4:30

Experience of working in a school is not essential but would be an advantage. Knowledge of SIMS, Parentmail, Microsoft Office and Sharepoint would also be advantageous.

Visits to our school are warmly welcomed; please do not hesitate to contact the school on 01732 452475 should you wish to arrange a visit.

We are recruiting as applicants apply therefore an appointment may be made before the close date, so we encourage early applications for the role.

Everyone at Riverhead Infant’s School is committed to safeguarding children. Any offer to successful candidates will be conditional upon an Enhanced Disclosure being obtained from the Disclosure and Barring Service.

We will carry out an online search as part of our due diligence on any shortlisted candidates. This may help identify any incidents or issues that have happened and are publicly available on line, which we might want to explore with an applicant at interview. This information is kept on file for 6 months, in line with data protection procedures.
