Viking Academy Trust is looking to appoint a part-time CARETAKER to join our Trust Premises Team as soon as possible, to be based at Ramsgate Arts Primary School.

It’s all about making sure we're safe and secure, with everything working correctly and efficiently as well as keeping the schools looking smart. Duties will include general maintenance of the school premises; out of hours opening for lettings; ensuring the security of the school, regular health and safety checks and general janitorial duties.

The successful candidate will take pride in ensuring the school is clean, tidy and a safe environment for our children and staff. They will need to be competent at DIY tasks and be able to work both on their own initiative and under the guidance of others.

We have a minibus that is in constant use so it is an essential aspect of the role to have a driving licence.

The required hours are Monday - Friday, 20 hours per week on a permanent basis. Hours will be discussed at interview however they will likely to be in the afternoon. Applicants must be aware that flexibility and willingness to work outside of the usual working pattern will be essential. There may be occassions where you may be required to work in our other schools within the Trust.

The contract is for 52 weeks a year and pay will be on Kent Range 3 - £21,293 pro rata (£11,509.73 actual salary before deductions).
