The Island Learning Trust is looking for an experienced minibus driver to drive the Trust minibus on behalf of all three schools. The successful applicant will be responsible for a range of duties and responsibilities that are connected to the driving of the Trust’s minibus, as shown within the job description. As a part of these duties, they will ensure the security and safety of their passengers and the vehicle in line with legal requirements.

Applicants will be expected to hold a full, clean driving licence with D1 entitlement and at least 2 years driving experience. Evidence of MIDAS training is preferable but not essential if the candidate is willing to undertake training. Applicants must be at least 30 years of age to meet with our insurance conditions and must have experience of driving large vehicles.

This is a zero-hour position working term time only.

The Island Learning Trust was established on 1st November 2016. The MAT was comprised of Minster Primary and Halfway Houses Primary, both schools are on the Isle of Sheppey, an area of high deprivation and socio economic challenges. These two founding schools are both Ofsted rated good schools. The outcomes at Minster Primary are outstanding. Sunny Bank Primary School in Sittingbourne joined TILT in February 2020 under a sponsorship arrangement and significant all round improvement has been made with the support of the MAT.
