This role is offered on a permanent basis offering an actual salary of £16,940 (£20,103 full time equivalent) based on 36.25 hours per week, Term Time + 1 week. Please note that this opportunity is based in our Nursery, Ducklings Nursery.

We are looking for someone demonstrates the following:

  • Experience in the Early Years Foundation Stage (preferably within Nursery).
  • Someone who will work well as part of a team, collaborating with two other Nursery Practitioners.
  • Some who must be organised and have the confidence to plan and prepare highly effective learning opportunities for children of all abilities.​​​​​​​
  • A minimum of a relevant Level 3 qualification
  • Being independent and able to work under pressure
  • Excellent communicator at all levels
  • Ability to organise own work and that of others, identify priorities and meet outcomes
  • Lead by example, demonstrating high levels of drive, enthusiasm and passion with proven ability to motivate others
  • Excellent written communication with ability to produce and evaluate reports
  • Up to date knowledge of the current EYFS framework and other relevant regulations
  • Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding children

Working for Oaks Primary Academy: Oaks Primary is a small academy with approximately 190 pupils on roll and an additional 20 pupils in our Nursery. We are very proud of our school and the hard work and positive attitude of all our pupils and staff. Teaching and learning areas are both safe and well maintained, providing a stimulating working environment for pupils. We are continually striving to improve our facilities in order to enrich the experiences of our pupils.

The teachers and support staff form a very strong team and work closely with the Governing Body and Leigh Academies Trust to promote high standards throughout Oaks Primary Academy. Parents provide invaluable voluntary support throughout the academy including a programme of fundraising activities throughout the year.

The academy teaches a broad and balanced curriculum which is enriched by a wide range of extra-curricular activities. It is our aim to provide a happy, safe, and caring community, where everyone is encouraged and supported to achieve their goals.
