Salary: D2 - £21,189 to £24,054, per annum pro rata, full time equivalent 32.5 hours per week Mon-Fri, term time only

Contract Term: Fixed-Term – End Date: 31st August 2023

Location: Twydall Primary School, Twydall Lane, Gillingham ME8 6JS

Twydall Primary School are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work under the direction of teachers, to support teaching and learning across the Key Stages, from Foundation Stage to Year 6. This may involve working with a class or supporting a high-needs child on more intensive basis to provide 1:1 support. He/she may also be expected to deliver intervention programmes under the direction of the Inclusion Manager.

The successful candidate will have NVQ Level 3 teaching assistant qualification or equivalent. Experience of working with children with SEN, including physical difficulties would be an advantage, as well as understanding children with different behavioural needs.

He or she will have a sense of humour, a positive attitude and enjoy working as a proactive member of a team of teachers and assistants who put children at the centre of everything they do.  A desire to help children overcome barriers to learning is essential.
