Team Tunbury is looking for a dynamic and innovative individual to become our new Assistant Headteacher. Are you an experienced SENCO, looking for the next step in your development as a senior leader?  Are you committed to inclusive education?  Can you support and inspire a brilliant staff team?

Tunbury Primary School is a large, thriving primary school on the border of Kent and Medway.  We are a Kent local authority school.  We completed a successful Ofsted inspection in June 2023.  Our strong and supportive Senior Leadership Team consists of Headteacher, two Deputy Headteachers and Assistant Headteacher, all of which are non-class based positions. 

Our Assistant Headteacher is our SENCO and Lead DSL, but also works as an integral part of our Senior Leadership Team, contributing to the strategic direction of the school and the implementation of our priorities.  Please read the attached Job Description for the full details of the post.

Our Assistant Headteacher has the support of a part-time SEN Assistant to assist with SEN tasks across the school.
