We have a unique opportunity for someone to specialise in the teaching of the primary Computing curriculum. As a school, the teaching of Computing supports our PPA arrangements and involves teaching KS2 pupils the curriculum through the Purple Mash programme.

Our pupils love their learning time in our fully equipped, modern Computing Suite. We are looking for someone to continue this learning journey with them. The ideal candidate should have experience or working with pupils in KS2, have a willingness to learn and be digitally literate!

We can offer:

  • Well behaved, enthusiastic pupils
  • A Macbook
  • A Teaching Assistant to support the teaching of these lessons
  • Training for Purple Mash, other programmes and the website
  • Direct line management and support

This role also involves some hours that are put aside for supporting the development of our school website and producing the Year 6 Leavers’ book.  The current hours for the role would be as below, however, we may need some flexibility moving forward.

Tuesday, 1pm – 4.30pm (to include an after school club)

Wednesday, 10.15am – 3.30pm (to include a lunchtime club & 20 minute break)

Thursday, 1pm – 3.30pm

Total hours of teaching time = 11.25 hours

Hours for website and CPD = 5 hours per week

Total hours for role = 16.25 hours (Term Time Only)
