Position Overview: 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Curriculum Leadership: Lead and shape the MFL curriculum, fostering a dynamic and enriching learning environment.
  • Team Leadership: Inspire and manage a team of dedicated MFL teachers.
  • Strategic Vision: Develop and implement a strategic vision for the department, driving continuous improvement.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure the effective day-to-day operation of the MFL department.
  • Student Engagement: Motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential in MFL.
  • Cross-Curricular Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to enhance the overall school experience.
  • Curriculum Development: Contribute to the ongoing development of the IB Programmes of Study and the wider curriculum.

Information about the school

A mixed 11-19 co-educational High School of 1000 pupils serving the historic market town of West Malling and surrounding villages. The school is set in pleasant rural surroundings and has its own lake and extensive grounds. It was completely re-built in September 2007 and therefore has outstanding facilities.

West Malling is close to the county town of Maidstone and has excellent rail links to London and Ashford International (for the Continent).
