We are excited to share a rare opportunity to join our incredible team of teaching assistants! The role involves supporting the class teacher to deliver purposeful, engaging lessons for the benefit of our incredible pupils.

We are looking for an enthusiastic character who can hit the ground running in order to support our charasmatic, engaging children. The successful candidate will be passionate about building strong relationships, have high aspirations for our pupils and have secure academic abilities in order to support learning. Experience of working with children is essential and working within a school setting desirable. You will be working with individuals, small groups and whole class work will be undertaken throughout the year. Experience in running interventions, speech and language and social and communication groups would also be an advantage.

This is a great opportunity to work with alongside experienced, outstanding teachers and develop your skills. You must be able to work as part of team, be proactive and have good organisational skills.

Our school motto is ‘a friendly, happy place to learn’ and you will join a happy and successful team with children who love to come to school. The post is for 27 ½ hours a week (8.45am-3.15pm) and is paid at Kent Range 4, term time only.

Canterbury Road Primary School is a one form entry primary school close to Sittingbourne town centre and within easy reach of the M2, M20 and the train station.

We have interested, curious children who love to learn and enjoy coming to school. Our children make excellent progress from their start points and progress & attainment are above national levels at KS2 as they move into their secondary education. We have highly skilled staff who are committed to the development of the whole child and a have an unwavering focus on all pupils achieving their best.
