Information about the school

Working at The Hundred of Hoo Academy: Do you want to work in a school where staff say, “I feel like we all have a good connection within the workplace and we all work well together.” and “Connecting with people allows you to share ideas, support each other and makes the workplace happier.”

Do you think parents should be able to say, “The school has done everything well and has excelled our hopes and dreams.” and “I think as a school they give a great warmth to pupils and to parents and carers when on site and in all their communication. The school staff are very kind and helpful at all times. I feel the school as a whole is a nice place to be”.

Should the school you work at be recognised nationally as having an area of excellence for behaviour and inclusion?

If this sounds like the type of school you would aspire to work in then The Hundred of Hoo Academy could be the place for you.

The Hundred of Hoo Academy is an all-through school with a Primary phase on its exciting journey growing to two-form entry. With a brand-new eight-classroom extension and existing building which is only 8 years old, 1:1 devices for children from years one to six, exceptional curriculum delivered through the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP) and the opportunity to grow in your career by being part of Leigh Academies Trust, our academy is the perfect place to ensure that children are ‘More than just educated’ and truly make a difference.

We have high expectations of our pupils, hence we are a well-disciplined academy, where pupils thrive in a culture defined by mutual respect and good behaviour. We were acknowledged with a National Area of Excellence for Behaviour & Inclusion. We believe passionately that education transforms lives, that there is no ceiling to achievement and we are extremely proud of the academic progress that our pupils make. Our results improve year on year and are a testament to the collective hard work of pupils, staff and parents.

We pride ourselves on our digital offer to our pupils and in being at the forefront of digital development within our curriculum offer. All of our pupils have access to their very own Chromebook which enables them to take ownership over their own learning and means that they are able to challenge themselves further. The Chromebooks are an integral part of our teaching and learning at the academy meaning that we are shaping the future for our children in the digital age. This also means that our staff have access to a wealth of digital training opportunities and will gain certification in Google as well as in many other digital tools.

We look forward to welcoming you as members of our academy family.
