Contract Permanent Full Time
Salary MPS + SEN 2
Location Bradfields Specialist SEN Academy Medway Towns, Kent
Start Date January 2024 or sooner
Closing Date 2nd October 2023
Interviews w/c 9th October 2023

Due to the ever increasing need for Specialist Primary school places and an internal re-organisation, Fortis Trust seeks to employ two full time teachers of Primary. These teachers will work at the Bradfields site and enjoy all of the benefits of working in a Multi-Academy Trust.

Students in the Primary provision all have a diagnosis of Autism. The successful candidates will be enthusiastic primary practitioners with experience of working with students with Special Educational Needs either in a mainstream or specialist setting.

The primary provision has just introduced the IASEND curriculum assessment package and teachers, students and parents have been working with this throughout the previous academic year.

The trust is excited to announce a major building project that will see the primary provision move into new accommodation in the near future.

Students within primary are grouped within each Key Stage according to their stage rather than their chronological age and therefore teachers with experience in any primary phase are welcome to apply.

Applicants should have a clear understanding of effective teaching, raising and sustaining achievement, and the care and support of complex individuals. They should have a vision and a drive to deliver meaningful and personalised curricula. Both experienced teachers and those just setting out in their careers would be considered.

The academy and trust are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment.

Any offer of employment will be subject to satisfactory references and enhanced criminal record check via the DBS system (for Children & Vulnerable Adults).

We are an equal opportunities employer.

We would welcome interested candidates to arrange a visit, please contact Louise Tombs on 01634 683990 or louise.tombs@fortistrust.co.uk

Interested candidates should complete an application form.
