An exciting opportunity has arisen for a candidate with previous administration experience to join our fantastic School.  We are looking to appoint a welcoming, personable and helpful Administration Assistant to act as the first point of contact for all visitors and callers to the school. The role will also require a wide range of clerical and administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the school. The ability to multi-task, work flexibly and have a can do approach to work is essential. This post is for a job share 3 days per week - 8.15am – 4pm (days of week to be agreed upon appointment),

 This is a key role within the school and, as our front of house person, the ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience of working in a busy office and managing their own workload
  • An understanding of the importance of confidentiality and safeguarding   
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop good relationships with students, parents, staff and visitors
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to use own initiative
  • A confident and professional manner
  • A good eye for detail
  • An excellent knowledge of IT systems such as Word (including Mail Merge), Excel and Publisher
  • The ability to multi task and work flexibly and calmly while under pressure 

Experience of primary school admissions processes and procedures, including new Reception class intake and Arbor would be advantageous, although training will be given for the right candidate.

The role is currently for a one year fixed term contract with a view to permanent depending on school budget.

We are an oversubscribed one form entry primary school in Larkfield, Aylesford catering for pupils from Reception to Year 6. The school has recently been fully refurbished and has seven classrooms, a brand new computer suite, a library at the centre of the school, a Design and Technology/ music room and a spacious hall. We are fortunate to have an extensive playing field which is used for PE and games as well as a woodland crafts area for Forest School and outdoor learning.

The school has a reputation for high attainment and we are justly proud of this. We have a commitment to high academic standards whilst maintaining a rounded view of education where the needs of all learners are catered for.
