Oakfield Primary Academy is looking to recruit a SEN Teaching Assistant to work in the ARC  - the school’s ASD SRP (Specialist Resource Provision) and join their staff on a fixed term contract until 31 August 2024. 

The position is full time, Monday to Friday, Term Time Only.  £20,103 full time equivalent salary, actual pro rata salary £14,865 based on 32.5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year.  Plus an SEN Allowance £1,342 full time equivalent.

We are looking for someone who has good SEN experience, especially working with pupils with ASD - someone who is good with behaviours, robust and can think on their feet when dealing with children who exhibit challenging behaviour. They will be able to work on 1:1 level with pupils as well as supporting small groups of pupils who require guidance and strategies to understand academic and behavioural expectations to participate in mainstream teaching wherever possible.
