Teacher of PE at Greenacre Sports Partnership

Salary: MPS

Required: September 2023

Hours: Full Time, Fixed Term Contract (linked to funding)

Plus a one off joining bonus of £2,000, paid in twelve monthly instalments

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Teacher of PE to join the Greenacre Sports Partnership.  The successful candidate will support the team and work closely with the partnership manager to design and deliver high quality PE, School Sport and Physical Activity opportunities to all young people across the partnership.  We work with approximately 40 schools from across Kent and Medway and focus on: 

  • Teacher Training and CPD
  • Assessment for Learning
  • Schemes of work and lessons plans
  • Healthy active lifestyles
  • Leadership
  • Outdoor learning
  • School games delivery

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Ensuring a high profile for PE is developed and maintained across the schools. 
  • Deliver specific programmes in relation to the development of PE, School Sport and Physical Activity across all the partnership schools. 
  • Ensure pupils of all levels of ability are appropriately challenged and motivated to achieve their full potential.
  • Promote and inspire healthy active lifestyles and facilitate programmes related to this.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to promote the partnerships offer and achievements.
  • The ability to excite and inspire our students in their learning.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A degree in a related subject.
  • Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development.
