Barton Court Grammar School (BCGS) is a state, selective, co-educational school with a strong reputation for its high academic standards and its caring and supportive ethos. The School is an accredited ‘Advanced Thinking School’ and is also the lead school of Barton Court Academy Trust (BCAT). The Charles Dickens School (CDS), a state, non-selective, co-educational secondary school joined BCAT on 1 March 2017 and Barton Manor School (BMS), our free school, which is also a non-selective co-educational secondary school opened in September 2022 to Year 7.

The Post

Required for 1 September 2023, the Trustees are seeking to appoint a Senior ICT Technician to provide an outstanding 1st and 2nd Line ICT and A/V support service to the school community, inlcuding maintenance of client-side equipment, the daily management of ICT services and deployment of software. The appointed candidate will also assist the Trust ICT Management Team in relation to 3rd Line support and network management within the School as required.

An extensive knowledge of a range of technologies including PC hardware (desktop and laptop), Audio/Visual, associated peripherals, Operating Systems and general software is required with a solid understanding of client/server networks, particularly Microsoft Server-based infrastructures.

Previous experience in an educational setting would be an advantage.

Information about the school

Barton Manor School, is part of Barton Court Academy Trust (BCAT), and is due to open in September 2022 to 150 Year 7 students. The School is designed to be an 11-18 years, co-educational, non-selective school with 5 forms of entry and will grow each year with a new intake into Year 7. The school is planned as a centre of excellence for vocational subjects at KS4 and KS5 along with a joint Sixth Form provision with Barton Court Grammar School offering academic qualifications at Post-16.

The School’s brand new amazing state-of-the art design build will be ready in February 2022. The Trust believes this outstanding design, combined with an innovative curriculum, excellent teaching and learning, and strong pastoral care and guidance, will provide outstanding education for the local community for generations to come.
