Schools this job is for

Due to maternity leave, a rare opportunity has arisen to join the staff at St Margaret’s at Troy Town, for a fixed-term, one-year contract to lead our small, wonderful nursery. The nursery is part of our open plan Early Years facility and would provide the opportunity for someone to work as part of an excellent and experienced staff.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic nursery lead to join our dedicated and creative teams. We are looking for a motivated individual who is able to work well in a team and who believes that all children should be given the support that enables them to discover ‘life in all its fullness’.

The post would suit those with a Nursery Nurse qualification with a range of experience or a 0.6 teacher (5 mornings per week) looking to begin or develop their career in a very supportive environment. There will be a requirement to plan, set-up a creative learning environment, assess and report on pupils’ progress.

Are you …?

  • A dedicated team player who has boundless energy and enthusiasm?
  • Someone who has the highest expectations of themselves and others?
  • Able to work collaboratively and act with initiative?
  • Committed to the highest possible expectations and pupil outcomes?
  • Someone who owns a good pair of wellies ready to explore the outdoors?

We can offer you:

  • Pupils who are enthusiastic, caring, keen to learn and proud of their school;
  • A dynamic and supportive team to work with;
  • A vibrant, energetic and fun place to work;
  • A strong partnership with parents, governors and the local community;

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.  The successful candidate will be subject to pre-employment checks including, safeguarding, an enhanced DBS check, references and the right to work in the UK.

We are an open and diverse recruiter who would love to welcome you through the door to look round. Please contact the school office if you have any questions or would like to arrange a visit.
