Teynham Primary has an exciting opportunity to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced Cover Supervisor to join our highly collaborative and supportive team, covering PPA and Leadership release time for our teachers. Our teaching support team is vital to our success in the classroom and the role of Cover Supervisor will further strengthen the team with their knowledge, experience and additional support that they can provide for our teaching staff. This is a fantastic opportunity for those who already have relevant experience in this capacity.

Our successful applicant will work under the guidance of the Head Teacher, Senior Leadership Team and teaching staff in collaboration to plan and deliver high quality, challenging and motivating learning experiences. They will be able to establish strong working relationships with staff and students alike, be able to work as part of a team and will be reliable and excellent communicators.

A Level 3 qualification in childcare, or a subject specialism is highly desirable and EYFS/Key stage 1/Key Stage 2 experience is essential for this opportunity.  However, if the candidate has limited experience in a key stage but a desire and motivation to upskill, additional training can be given as appropriate.

If successful, you would be part of an organisation that enjoys a great reputation for pupil and staff well-being and career development, with numerous opportunities for further professional development.

This role is for 2.5 days a week in term time. For the right candidate there is flexibility to discuss working days.

Information about the school

Teynham is a semi rural location with good transport links (bus and train). Currently we have 203 pupils in seven classes. The school has spacious school grounds, including playgrounds, sport field and environmental areas, including a Forest School. We also have an ICT suite, children's kitchen and a purpose built meeting room. We have strong links with the Pre-school (situated on site) and local church. We work as a team supporting each other and ensuring that we do the best for our children. The school is undergoing an exciting transformation and a new build, with expansion to two form entry, is planned for September 2025.
