Toddler Room Leader for Littleview Day Nursery

Hillview Range 4 Point 2-5 (£21,776-£22,582, pro rata £20,985-£21,762)

Term time plus INSET days and one week during school holidays

Hours of work:  8am - 5pm Monday to Friday with flexibility to work in our baby/pre-school room when needed. Must attend staff meetings, home visits, Staff training (internally and externally), parent evenings and SENCO meetings.

Littleview Day Nursery has an exciting Room Leader position available from September 2023 for their newly built toddler room. This bright and spacious room will continue with Littleview's curiosity approach and provide lots of awe and wonder teaching. This room will also have access to a beautiful garden of their own.

We are a 26-place nursery, based in the wonderful town of Tonbridge. If you have a nurturing, caring, positive and enthusiastic personality, full of creative ideas then our small, friendly and welcoming team is the perfect workplace for you.

The room leader must be a Level 3 qualified experienced childcare professional who is responsible for the day to day running of their room. They must perform an important role caring for children, maintaining a high quality, and a stimulating learning environment. They must have fantastic knowledge of child development and how to progress and challenge children's outcomes by following their individual interests. The room Leader must supervise staff and impart their knowledge and skills to others. They must be a reflective leader who is able to implement new ideas and use a range of strategies to continually improve their practice and environment. The Room leader will be expected to support the management team and demonstrate strong leadership skills whilst working as part of a team, this will include being an active listener and a positive confident communicator.
