We are looking to appoint a Science Technician, with relevant and previous experience to work within the Science Department. 

The role will include preparation and maintenance of resources with the successful candidate offering support to staff and students in this department. 

The successful candidate will use their previous Laboratory Technician experience, to be able to confidently:

  • Prepare, conduct and support scientific investigations and experiments.
  • Maintain, calibrate, clean and test sterility of a range of equipment.
  • Order and maintain stock and resources.

 The applicant would need to have good organisational and time management skills and have the ability to be flexible to meet the needs of the department and the students on a daily basis.

Hours: (37 hours per week) (39 Weeks Term Time + 4.3 Weeks holiday)

Salary: NJC 4 (£21,575 to £21,968 FTE). Pro rata salary for Term time only role approx. (£18,504.71 to £18,841.78) pa.

Ripplevale Rochester is an independent specialist provision for students aged 6 to 25 who have been diagnosed with various needs, which may include ASD, dyslexia, speech, language and communication difficulties, DCD, sensory, social, emotional and other learning difficulties along with high levels of anxiety.
