We are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate, and motivated Apprentice Early Years practitioner who is committed to training.

Our goal is to prepare you for a career in the Early Years field by offering you the chance to spend time working in our school during your course. An apprenticeship scheme will be offered to the successful candidate in the area of Early Years Care and Education. During your training, you will be assigned a tutor who will conduct regular assessments and discuss your professional development with you. We will also mentor and assist you throughout the course.

Your role will involve:

  • Working co-operatively, flexibly and providing a positive contribution within your team.
  • Form positive relationships with children, parents and carers and staff.
  • Demonstrate a warm and caring approach with the children.
  • To be aware of children’s individuality and respond accordingly.
  • Observe children’s interests, achievements and development and record their progress through their online learning journals.
  • Plan exciting and stimulating activities taking into consideration the Development Matters curriculum.
  • Be prepared to attend all staff meetings outside of working hours.
  • Be a good ambassador for the nursery when communicating with parents, visitors and other professionals.
  • To share the commitment of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and young people within the nursery.

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • English and Maths GCSE A-C/9-4 or equivalent.
