Learning Support Assistant (1:1 Support)

35 hours per week (term time only plus staff development days)

Kent Range 4: £17,557 - £18,629 pa (pro rata to fte £21,389 – 22,493 pa)

We are looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a student with a physical disability.  The role is initially offered on a one year fixed-term contract but the intention is for the role to continue for as long as the student remains in our school.

You will need excellent interpersonal skills, be able to build relationships quickly, and be confident in providing focussed support throughout the student’s day.  A willingness to undertake additional training to meet student needs is also required.

Highworth Grammar School is an over-subscribed 11 – 18, selective Girls’ school of 1546 students with 453 students in the sixth form (100 boys).  We are situated in the South East of England, with excellent transport links to both the rest of Kent and London. 

The school was judged to be Outstanding in all areas in June 2013.  In 2019 our A Level results placed us in top 25% of schools nationally.
