We are looking for a friendly, inspiring and highly motivated teacher to join our brilliant KS1 or KS2 team on a permanent contract from September 2023. Applications are welcome from qualified teachers with a strong experience of teaching in either key stage. Or, applications from teachers just starting their careers so ECT's are also encouraged to apply.

You will be an enthusiastic practitioner with the knowledge and skills to support and challenge pupils of all abilities, including those with special educational needs and disabilities as well as the academically more able. 

You will have outstanding teaching experience of teaching in either key stage and a clear understanding and passion to inspire, support and nurture the development of our children, providing them with every opportunity to develop their full potential. Experience of assessment in KS2 is not essential, but please detail within your application if you have knowledge in this area. For KS1, proven experience of teaching synthetic phonics is essential as is the ability to enhance children's learning and development through both teacher directed sessions and child initiated activities.

We have a great team at Godinton who work incredibly hard to bring out the very best in our children.  As a two form entry school, class teachers work with supportive year group partners to create exciting and inspiring lessons for the children and are well supported by Team Leaders. You will also benefit from a well led, caring and supportive management team who understand the importance of staff wellbeing. 

We are looking for someone that shares our ethos of growing and learning together with the passion, creativity and energy to deliver stimulating lessons that are both engaging and challenging.

Our children are at the heart of everything we do and we strive to offer them an environment of opportunity and discovery through a rich and broad curriculum with as wide a range of activities as possible. We also have wonderful outdoor space which provides an excellent area for discovery.

A broad area of woodland, also within the grounds, provides an inspiring space for curriculum enrichment, as a stimulus for poetry or creative writing or as the location for scientific nature trails.
