This is an exciting opportunity to join an established nurture-based SEN school in Ashford which has recently been judged as outstanding in all areas by Ofsted. 

We are looking for an inspirational and nurturing Teacher with a passion for SEN and a creative, innovative approach to delivering the curriculum, to join us and make an impact on the learning of our pupils. We are looking for candidates with the motivation and determination to ensure that students make progress and also to improve and boost their independence as they transition into adulthood. The ideal candidate would  have knowledge around delivering KS2 /KS3 to SEN & ASD pupils. This class group is made up of up to 9 pupils aged 8-12.  

Cornfields School educates young people between the ages of 7 - 16 who have a wide range of diagnosis including ASD, ADHD and social, emotional and mental health needs. Ideal candidates would follow pathways consisting of AQA Unit Awards, Entry Level & Functional Skills. You will be supported in your role by experienced special education leaders who will be available to offer advice and guidance. Effective CPD training and development are available through opportunities for professional development.

Information about the school

Cornfields school in Ashford and Belle Vue School is in Cranbrook. Both are small and nurturing specialist school with a maximum of 50 and 60 pupils respectively at each school. Our schools are calm, quiet and orderly settings where pupils can be supported to develop academically and emotionally. The schools are graded outstanding.
