We are looking for a Leading Practitioner in Mathematics to provide a specialist lead role, within the Mathematics department and alongside the Director of Mathematics, to develop and implement teaching and learning initiatives and strategies to achieve outstanding teaching and learning throughout the department.  

The post offers outstanding opportunities for continuous personal and professional development for a highly motivated and ambitious teacher looking for career advancement. You will play a key role in the Mathematics department as we strive to set challenging targets with high expectations for all students. 

The successful candidate will:

  • Be an outstanding classroom teacher who can lead on teaching and learning in the department, modelling excellence in the classroom and ultimately across the rest of the school
  • Coach and mentor colleagues in order that best practice is shared and consistent across the department
  • Have the vision and energy required to impact on the continuous process of raising attainment in the department
