Advert

Cage Green Primary School is looking for a teacher to join our team from September 2023.

Why Cage Green?

Most people get into teaching because they want to make a difference. Our Deputy Head once said, "You work here because you think you can change the world."  This is very true.  The combination of beautiful behaviour and many children who come from deprived backgrounds means that there isn't a school like it in Tonbridge where you can make such a difference to children's lives and get the statisfaction that comes with it, as well as enjoy your work.  Benefits include: high quality planning in place for all year groups, we offer a wellbeing day each year to take off whenever you please, breakfast on a Friday morning and a contribution towards gym membership. There is the opportunity to acrue working from home time in running a club, we protect PPA time ferociously and we ensure that no staff meeting is longer than an hour in our quest to support wellbeing.  Processes such as assessment are overhauled as a team to reduce teacher workload.

We are a noisy, energetic and enthusiastic staff with a positive outlook and a very good sense of humour. Our children are lovely; they are enthusastic, well behaved, motivated and ripe for some great learning. We are looking for a teacher to join us  who will share our positive outlook and wants a job where they can make a real difference to the lives of children.  Teachers at Cage Green are people who have a real drive to change the futures of children, provide a safe space to those in need and do the things that make a difference. If you are an ambitious, forward thinking teacher you might just be the right person to join our team of excellent practitioners.

We would welcome ECTs to this role and would be excited to start you on your journey in teaching.

If you want to know more about the school, I would be very pleased to meet you and take you on a tour.  Once you see our calm, focused children and the enormous potential they represent, I am sure you will feel the same passion for this school that our staff do.  Please contact me, Joanna Styles, Headteacher on 01732 354325.

Officially, we are a new school because we reopened as part of Connect Schools Academy Trust in July 2019.  As a result, we don’t have an Ofsted report.  The one that is listed for Cage Green is an old report and no longer represents the school in any aspect.

Early applications are encouraged and Cage Green Primary School reserves the right to close the vacancy if a suitable candidate is found.

Previous applicants need not apply.  If you have not been invited to attend an interview within two weeks of the closing date, you have not been successful on this occasion. Feedback on unsuccessful applications is not given.
