Due to relocation of the current post holder an exciting opportunity has arisen to join the senior leadership team at the school.  We are looking for a committed and dynamic leader to join us as an Assistant Headteacher.

The successfully candidate will be an exceptional individual that is a proven leader in an educational setting that can transfer their leadership skills into our school.

We would welcome applicants from mainstream or special school backgrounds. What is important is your ability to work as part of a team and be part of driving our school forward. 

You will lead and continue to develop our Key Stage 5 provision at our Wrotham site and the college provision based at our partner college in Maidstone and Gillingham.

Grange Park School is an autism specific provision for children ages 8 to 19. Currently judged as “good” by Ofsted, we are ambitious and are well placed to becoming outstanding. We are committed to providing our pupils with the best possible learning opportunities and supporting them in their development.

Grange Park is part of KSENT a collaboration of 26 special schools in Kent. This creates numerous training and development opportunities, shared working practices and career progression.

Information about the school

Grange Park School is an autism specific provision for 8 – 19 year olds and has been accredited for over 9 years by the National Autistic Society (NAS), who highly commended our school. The school also achieved Advanced Status, which recognises the work we do as a school to support young people with a diagnosis of autism, in November 2020.

The Stansted Site opened in September 2019 following an extensive refurbishment modelled on the purpose built secondary site. The building is located in the pretty rural village of Stansted next to the village green.

Currently judged as “Good” by Ofsted, the school is very well placed to becoming Outstanding and is oversubscribed.

Class sizes at the Stansted and Wrotham sites are between 11-13 pupils with a teacher and 1-2 learning mentors.

At the Partnership colleges, Learning Mentors are supporting individual students or small groups of students aged 16-19 years in the college tutor groups / classrooms and out in the community.

The school offers comprehensive training in autism, exceptional CPD support and development opportunities through our Co-operative Trust of SEN schools.
