If you have a growth mindset, love teaching and have a passion for learning then our children need you! We are looking to appoint a creative and enthusiastic lead teacher for SEND.  In response to the increasing needs of our children, we have established additional specialist interventions that enable us to nurture and educate in a way that matches their needs. We are looking for a passionate, nurturing, creative and adaptable teacher to oversee and develop our Rainbow and Saplings groups.

As a member of the Inclusion Team you will be responsible for leading our Rainbow and Saplings groups ensuring children achieve their personal targets and make excellent progress. You will have a minimum 5 years teaching experience.

Rainbow (SEND) – a small specialist intervention. Pupils have an EHCP and/or HNF and personalised provision plans. The additional needs of the children in this group are varied but focus mainly on the areas of communication and interaction, cognition and learning and speech and language. Children follow the EYFS Framework or the National Curriculum, in a highly personalised and differentiated format. Pupils access Rainbow for all or part of the day dependent on their personalised plans, spending the rest of their day in their home class.

Saplings – a short-term Nurture Group intervention that pupils join following a Boxall Profile assessment. The needs of the pupils in this group fall broadly within the social, emotional and mental health category. Pupils are identified as requiring this brief intervention by their class teachers for a variety of reasons.
