School Office and Procurement Administrator

Part Time, 21 hours per week term time only + 2 weeks (38 weeks) at a School that enjoys a reputation of high academic standards within a caring, happy environment.

Hours 8.30am – 4.30pm

Salary: FTE £22,600, salary will be pro rata, based on the actual hours worked.
 

As the School Office and Procurement Administrator, you will be responsible for processing all general school purchases, ensuring value for money and working closely with the finance team to manage budget control. You will also play and active part in supporting the day-to-day operations of a busy school, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and efficiently. 

The main place of work will be in the School Office where you will have the opportunity to support the School Receptionist during busy periods. Building effective relationships with pupils, parents and staff and offering a professional, warm and friendly approach is key to this role.

Applicants should have excellent interpersonal, organisation and IT skills as well as being self-motivated and proactive. Previous experience as an effective administrator is essential, and an understanding of the educational environment would be advantageous but is not needed.

A positive outlook and a commitment to supporting others are central to this role, as is the ability to hit deadlines and remain focused.

You will:

  • Have comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft platforms to include excel and experience of MIS systems
  • Possess excellent organisational skills and have an eye for detail, with proven ability to prioritise your work and ability to deal with a wide range of situations 
  • Have exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Be able to work under pressure in a friendly and professional manner, dealing with a range of stakeholders
  • Be a team player
  • Have a warm, approachable manner
