This is a unique opportunity for the right candidate to further develop the sporting ethos of the school. We are looking for somebody to build on the strong current practice and ethos to offer the best possible opportunities for our children.

Over the last 5 years, Greenfields has built a strong reputation in the local community as a hub for PE and school sport.  During this time, we have set up netball and football leagues for all primary schools in the Maidstone area, created and run the Kent-Teach Games, run summer football and netball competitions as well as attending all outside competitions.  More details can be found in the sport section of our website.

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • The teaching and learning of all aspects of Physical Education across school.
  • Running some extra-curricular clubs.
  • Taking groups of children to external sporting events.
  • Supporting lunch time play.

We can offer you:

  • A supportive leadership and teaching team who truly value the benefits of PE and school sport.
  • Extensive grounds, including 3 netball courts and a field with 3 football pitches and a cricket pitch. We also have a building on the field which can be used as a hub during events.
  • Two school halls which can be used for dance, gymnastics and games.
  • High quality equipment for all areas of the curriculum.
  • Relevant professional development.
  • The scope to further develop the role and make continual improvements to what the school can offer.

Visits to the school are warmly welcomed and would give you the opportunity to see all school’s facilities and ask any questions about the role.
