The pupils, staff and Governors wish to appoint someone with an interest in looking after and maintaining our school premises. This may be someone who is new to a career in this area, who can start the role as a caretaker, receive all the training needed for the post, to potentially become a sitemanager. Our team would be supportive in developing someone to take this role forward.

This post is for 37hrs per week, is a year round post, and is subject to an enhanced disclosure check as part of our school safeguarding procedures.

You must:

  • Be committed to learning the role from internal support
  • Be able to attend training sessions to support your success in the role – such as legionnaires, asbestos and fire training (this is currently being covered so support can be given to enable training to take place)
  • Be able to juggle the many demands of a busy school
  • Be inspiring to pupils who would want to be you on a pupil Takeover Day!
  • Work as part of a busy team
