We have a fantastic opening for a new Pastoral Support Assistant who has experience of working with students aged 11 - 18 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.  The role will involve working as part of our pastoral support team to help students develop their ability to manage their behaviour and in turn their success and achievement.

The role holder will be responsible for improving the attendance and behaviour of students to enable effective teaching and learning to take place. They will work with the Learning Support and Teaching staff to identify and implement a range of strategies to improve student attitudes towards school. They will look after the wellbeing of students and further develop their social and emotional skills. Most importantly, we are looking for someone whose underlying beliefs about the purpose of education for our students is to educate the whole child. We have high expectations of our students, which are based on in-depth knowledge of them and their individual needs. 

Please note: this position is term time only but the salary advertised will NOT be pro-rated. We pride ourselves on our fantastic work-life balance.

Infiniti School is an independent special school based in the beautiful village of Doddington, nr. Sittingbourne, Kent. We work with students in key stages 3, 4 and 5 who have SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs, as well as other associated difficulties and challenging behaviour. We have a broad and balanced curriculum with individual pathways for each student, with a focus on sport and outdoor education.

We offer therapeutic input alongside our academic and vocational courses, to help our students remove barriers to learning and become successful in and out of school.
