We wish to appoint a dedicated and motivated teaching assistant. This position involves supporting a range of abilities in small groups and whole class activities. You would be supported by an experienced and talented team of teachers and teaching assistant.

We ideally looking for someone who:

  • Has worked in a range of year groups across key stage 1 and 2
  • A good understanding of the national curriculum, particularly English and Maths
  • Experience of using different interventions or the willingness to learn
  • Necessary qualifications ideally NVQL2/3 in child care
  • An ability to communicate and work as part of a team

 

This is a part-time position for 25 hours a week during term time. We would consider an immediate start for the right candidate or to start in September 2023.

Information about the school

Teynham is a semi rural location with good transport links (both bus and train). Currently we have 200 pupils in seven classes. The school has spacious school grounds, including playgrounds, sports field, wellbeing area and environmental areas, including a Forest School. We also have an ICT suite and purpose built meeting room. We have strong links with the Pre-school (situated on site) and local church. We work as a team supporting each other and ensuring that we do the best for our children. The school is undergoing an exciting transformation and work on the new build has already started, with expansion to two form entry, planned for September 2025.
