September 2023 or January 2024

We are expanding at unprecedented rates; our Year 7 cohort is due to triple in number from September 2023 and our whole school pupil numbers have risen 50% over the past two years.

This is an extremely exciting time to join our school and we are now hiring outstanding teachers to be part of our team from September!

We are currently accepting applications for this Head of Social Sciences role.  Within this post, you will be leading this faculty and teaching Psychology and Sociology.  This is a varied and interesting role and the students really enjoy these subjects.  We are looking for driven teachers who have a passion for teaching. We warmly welcome visits to the school so you can see your relevant department in action and meet staff who you would be potentially working with from September.  Our facilities are outstanding across the school so you would have all the tools available to you.

Any position in education is inevitably laden with values and ideals and we are a school built on a shared ownership of these. We wish to give our students the very best start that we can in life and, through hard work and determination, we hope that these values and ideals start to take shape as something recognisable in the futures that we help build.

Should you wish to find out more about what we do or would like to talk to the Principal directly, then please feel free to do so using rluthfa@bexleyheathacademy.org

Closing date:  Monday June 19th 2023

Interviews will take place shortly after the closing date and expressions of interest will be considered upon receipt.

We reserve the right to close this vacancy early should we receive an overwhelming response.

Academies Enterprise Trust and all of our academies are committed to ensuring the highest levels of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our pupils, and we expect all our staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We adopt a robust, fair and consistent recruitment process which is inline with Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance. This includes online checks for shortlisted candidates. All offers of employment are subject to an Enhanced DBS check, references, and where applicable, a prohibition from teaching check.

Academies Enterprise Trust embraces diversity and promotes equality of opportunity. Job share, part time and flexible working opportunities will be considered.

We are a Disability Confident Employer and there is a guaranteed interview scheme for candidates with disabilities who meet the minimum selection criteria.
