We are looking for a highly professional, dedicated and motivated Apprentice SEND Teaching Assistant to join the team at Turner Free School. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting pupils with SEND, have excellent communication skills, demonstrate patience when dealing with pupils and parents and be able to utilise a range of strategies to support our pupils to achieve success.

This role will require you to support children with SEND, through classroom support as well as take a leading role in delivering small group interventions and 1:1 support.

Qualifications Needed: 

  • GCSE English or the equivalent
  • GCSE Maths or the equivalent

37 hours a week. Term Time + INSET Days.

Any course work to be completed in addition to the hours detailed above. Arrangements for dedicated time for training and development to be decided.

This is a fixed term appointment for the duration of the apprenticeship. (18 months)

Shortlisted candidates may be observed working with children as part of the selection process and will be expected to have visited the school prior to interview.
