Our caretaker is a cruical member of our team, often working alone but hugely valued by the staff and wider community. The successful candidate will be physically fit, communicate well, and work both independently, often identifying their own priorities, and as part of the team.

The position is for 10 hours per week, term time only. The caretaker is required on site from 7am until 8.30 each morning, which equates to 7.5 hours per week. The remaining 2 and a half hours can be taken flexibly, to suit both the caretaker and at times the needs of the school - for example you may be asked to come back to lock up after an event, or to unlock and lock up for a contractor in the holiday. Each morning, the duty of the caretaker is to unlock the building and undertake routine checks, including health and safety checks such as water tests and fire alarm checks. Beyond this the bulk of the role, both in the mornings and the additional flexible hours, is site maintenance including odd jobs around school, gardening and mowing the lawns.

This job would suit someone who can turn their hand to a range of DIY indoors and outdoors and is willing to undertake all relevant health and safety training. The successful candidate will be commited to maintaining our building and grounds to the highest standard offering our children the best possible learning environment.

If you have any questions, or would like to arrange a visit to the school please don't hesitate to contact the office.
