We are looking for a dynamic and highly motivated class teacher to join our friendly team in a fantastic, Outstanding School from September 2023 (although this start may be adjustable for the right candidate). Sandwich Junior School reserve the right to interview potential candidates early and as they apply - please fill in the application as promptly as possible to avoid disappointment.

  • Be willing to lead a subject across the school (not applicable for ECT's)

  • Have a keen interest in creative and innovative approaches
  • Be able to work to timescales and have a full interest in school life

Information about the school

Sandwich Junior is a two form entry school, who currently have 222 pupils on roll. We are fortunate to have extensive grounds, which include two large playgrounds, a gardening area, outdoor music equipment, an Orchard and a full size Labyrinth to aid mindfulness and reflection. The school has a strong set of Core Values which underpin everything we do. Our location in the centre of Sandwich, Kent means we serve families from the town and the wider area. We received an Outstanding grading in our most recent Ofsted inspection (May 2022). We have a friendly, dedicated staff who work seamlessly together as a team, ensuring every child reaches their own personal excellence through a focus on quality first teaching and pastoral support. As a team we are dedicated to providing every child, family and staff member with rich opportunities as we encourage them to develop their own personal excellence be that academic, sporting or artistic.
