We are seeking to appoint a Foreign Language Assistant, joining us from September 2023. This is a great opportunity for a talented individual who can speak Spanish to further aid a successful department whose numbers at both GCSE and Alevel continue to increase inline with our results.

The Foreign Language Assistant will be required to work with individuals and small groups of GCSE and A Level students, ensuring that they are exposed to a high quality of spoken language.

The successful candidate will be proactive in providing stimulating materials and cultural knowledge which are vital elements to the A-level exam in particular. They will be joining a very friendly and supportive team of experienced teachers with whom they will need to communicate on a daily basis.

By working with small groups, the successful applicant will be able to develop students’ skills and confidence in speaking Spanish and will need to demonstrate their ability to develop learning resources.

This position is ideal for those seeking to embark on teacher training, as this role offers first hand experience and exposure to the modern foreign languages curriculum, classroom teaching and the opportunity of working directly with our teaching staff, or those seeking a consistent part-time role to fit around other commitments.   ​​​​​​​

This is a permanent opportunity offering an actual salary of £16,318 (£20,493 full time equivalent) based on hours per week, Term Time only.

We prioritise mental health and well being alongside academic achievement through our on-site provision of Place2be, offering full time individual and group therapy sessions for those who need it. In partnership with parents we work closely through the seven-year journey from the very first day to the confident, knowledgeable and disciplined individuals leaving our academy as young adults.
