Kings Hill School Primary and Nursery is a vibrant and unique oversubscribed school situated in Kings Hill. We are fortunate to have extensive grounds and fantastic facilities including running track, Multi Use Games Area, Adventure Trim Trail, Whispering Woods, dedicated art classroom, cookery room as well as a newly equipped ICT suite and fantastic library.

We support staff to develop and all of our teaching assistants work closely with teachers and senior leaders. Staff are developed and trained to support school improvement priorities and develop their own individual talents and skills. All TAs are part of subject teams and have regular professional development.

The values of the school (Respect, Kindness, Cooperation, Courage, Resilience and Responsibility) are well embedded by children and staff. All staff are role models and staff value and respect each other.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our friendly, dedicated and supportive team.

The successful applicant will be required to work 32.5 hours per week 8.30 a.m. – 4 p.m.

This post is at Kent Range 7 on a permanent contract.

The successful candidate will be expected to:  

  • Be qualified to NVQ Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent)
  • Desirable to be working at or towards professional standards for HLTA
  • Have relevant experience of covering classes
  • Be a good team player, flexible and prepared to use their initiative
  • Be committed to their own professional development
  • Be imaginative, creative, very energetic and interested in moving on children’s learning
  • Have good interpersonal skills and organisational skills
  • Full knowledge of relevant school policies such as behaviour policy and safeguarding
  • Have an interest in celebrating children's learning by classroom display
  • Support the ethos and wider life of the school

We are a very popular primary school in the heart of the Kings Hill community with 420 pupils and 60 children on roll in our Nursery.
