KITE College is Kents only specialist further education college that provides Industry recognised education and technical vocational qualifications to young people with learning and challenging behaviour difficulties, providing them with the knowledge and skills both the employer needs and the young person requires for employment and for them to live healthy adult lives.

We are looking to recruit a Leader in Teaching and Learning to be part of a team who are passionate, experienced, share the same vision and can make a significant impact on learner's experience across the college.  The suitable candidate must be able to meet the essential requirements for this role as stated in the job description.  They also need to demonstrate experience of the development, design and management of a broad and inclusive education and vocational curriculum within SEND.

You will be responsible for the development and quality of provision including curriculum offer, content and pathways, teaching and learning, learner support and resources ensuring the provision meets the needs of all learners.

You will be part of the college Senior Leadership that focuses on leading college improvement priorities, monitoring teaching and learning, staff development and wider areas, implementing strategies that support and drive the college strategic development plan as well as being part of the day-to-day running of the college, underpinned by its values and ethos. 

You will have a responsibility to line-manage a strong team of tutors and coordinating the planning and delivery of all internal quality assurance processes as part of the college quality assurance and external awarding bodies.

Oversee teaching, learning and assessment of the curriculum and make sure that programmes, courses and qualification pathways meet the expectations of learners.

We are seeking applicants who are able to demonstrate excellent academic and professional qualifications, outstanding level of teaching/lecturing experience and proven experience of leadership in SEND educational context and Further Education.
