CAREERS OFFICER

Pay Scale:  KR8 £26,598

Hours: 37 hours per week

Working weeks: Full Time

 

An exciting opportunity has become available at Bennett for an experienced, enthusiastic and hardworking Careers Advisor who will play a key role in raising aspirations and supporting students to make informed choices about their future. The role is an important part of our advice and guidance team.

The ideal candidate will contribute to the development and delivery of an effective careers programme and achievement of the Gatsby Benchmarks, to provide high-quality, impartial careers information, advice and guidance to students, prospective students and community clients. The role will also involve building links with employers, external providers and school staff to support with information advice and guidance activities. We are ready to train and develop applicants in support of this role.

 

We are looking for a confident and self-assured person with excellent administrative, organisational and communication skills to take the lead in sustaining and developing further a strong culture of independent study in the Sixth Form, and provide administrative support to the Sixth Form staff team. 

 

Purpose of Role:

 

The Bennett Careers Officer plays a central part in providing independent careers information, advice and guidance to all students in Y8 – Y13. Working closely with Year Managers, the Head of PACE and the Assistant Headteacher with strategic responsibility for CIAG the Careers Officer will plan and implement a cohesive careers education programme. In this Christian school, which is committed to the flourishing of each individual child, our Careers Officer is providing careers information, advice and guidance in the context that every child has right to lead a full and enriched lives.
