We welcome applications for a full-time Learning Support Assistant, 30 hours a week,  to join our dedicated SEND team.The person we appoint will have a love of working with children and the ability to inspire learning and support development. They will have high expectations of themselves and of children to enable every child to be fully included and to reach their potential, whilst showing initiative and adaptability and be committed to working as a member of a team. 

This is a diverse role, primarily supporting individuals and small groups and may include supporting teaching and learning as a class teaching assistant. It may also include care needs. 

The position will initially be fixed for one year, but may become permanent. An NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification would be desirable.

The post is a term-time only role and attracts a salary on Kent Range 3 £21,293 pro rata (£14,598 full-time).

Information about the school

Riverhead is a three form intake infant school on the outskirts of the town of Sevenoaks. Our eco-friendly sedum-roofed building is set in beautiful grounds enabling our pupils to enjoy their learning both indoors and out. We have received numerous awards for our excellent practice including the School Award for Resilience and Wellbeing and Platinum Award for our OPAL. Our school is over-subscribed and well supported by parents and the local community.
