St Mary of Charity CE Primary School is dedicated to providing an outstanding education for all of our children. This aim means that inclusion is at the heart of our provision.

We are looking for a skilled individual to work 1:1. The successful candidate needs to show initiative, patience and work well as part of a team. The successful candidate will be open to new training opportunities and will ideally have a good knowledge of ASD and Social, Emotional & Mental Health difficulties in children. This is desirable but not required as full training will be provided if needed. Experience of working with young children with ASD needs is also desirable.

The position is for 27.5 hours a week and will initially be a temporary post until the end of December 2023. This post will then be reviewed in line with funding. 

St Mary of Charity Primary School is committed to Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children. Therefore, this appointment will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.

Information about the school

St. Mary of Charity C of E Primary School is a 1 form entry Church of England Primary School in Faversham, with a mixed catchment area. The school became part of Aquila, The Diocese of Canterbury Multi Academy Trust (www.aquilatrust.co.uk) in August 2015. The school has a hard working, friendly and committed staff team and an active Governing Body. We share our building with a Children's Centre and are lucky enough to have a large school building offering lots of space. The school has been judged as outstanding in both SIAMS 2017 and Ofsted 2018 and we continue to strive to provide the best possible education for the children in our community.

St Mary of Charity C of E Primary School is committed to safeguarding children and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all trustees, staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All successful candidates will be subject to an Enhanced Criminal Record Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service along with other relevant employment checks, online recruitment checks and overseas criminal background checks, where applicable. All new trustees, employees and volunteers will be required to undertake safeguarding training on induction which will be regularly updated in line with statutory guidance.
