Whilst we are in the process of recruiting a substantive Headteacher, our Deputy Headteacher is stepping up to the role of Acting Headteacher until Christmas 2023. Therefore, we are looking to recruit an interim Deputy Headteacher on a fixed term basis until 31^st December 2023. We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, experienced, creative and highly motivated leader to support the strategic development of our school. This post is a fantastic opportunity to develop senior management skills in an improving, creative school.

• Excellent classroom practice with high expectations of learning and behaviour
• The ability to work in partnership with the Headteacher and leadership team to support the strategic development of the school
• The personality and leadership skills to motivate and inspire a dedicated team of professional
• Experience in management, good organisational and interpersonal skills
• A commitment to inclusion, innovation and creativity

Information about the school

St Matthew's High Brooms Church of England Primary School, is a two-form entry Church of England primary school in a semi-urban area of Tunbridge Wells and Southborough. We have an extensive site and large outdoor areas.

At present there are approximately 360 children on roll. The school serves the community of High Brooms, St John's and Southborough.

We are a happy and lively school that places the children at the heart of everything that we do. Children benefit from many opportunities and take part in the excellent range of academic, physical and creative activities that we offer, both during and after school.

Our most recent Ofsted in July 2018 was graded good.
