We are looking to appoint an exceptional candidate for the role of Wellbeing and Home School Support Worker.  The successful candidate must have experience of supporting parents/carers, a vast knowledge of external agencies/services and the ability to liaise with other professionals.  They will work under the direction of the Inclusion Manager, to support vulnerable families experiencing a range of challenges. This may include delivery of parenting workshops, intervention programmes to support the emotional wellbeing of children and families, and 1:1 support for individuals focused on specific needs.

 

The successful candidate will have experience of working with primary aged children. They will have excellent communication skills with GCSEs in English and Maths at Grade C or above (or equivalent).  They will have a sense of humour, a positive attitude and enjoy working as a proactive member of a team of teachers and assistants who put children at the centre of everything they do. 

 

They will need to have high professional standards and understand the importance of establishing appropriate boundaries and relationships with the families they support. Experience of working with children with additional needs including social, emotional and mental health difficulties would be an advantage, and a desire to help children overcome barriers to learning is essential.
