Advert

We are looking for a suitably qualified, enthusiastic and creative primary teacher (French as a specialism) to join our dedicated staff team, and make a full contribution to the extra-curricular life of this busy school. The role involves teaching French to children from age 3 to 11 years (EYFS, Pre-Prep and Prep Departments). The ideal candidate would also be confident to teach at least one other Key Stage 2 subject.

We believe French lessons should be interactive and engaging. We expect lessons to ensure pupils participate in reading, writing, listening and speaking in order to develop their linguistic confidence. You will be responsible for preparing lesson plans, teaching, marking pupils’ work and providing them with necessary feedback, encouragement, targets and support, alongside building strong relationships with parents.

Experienced teachers are welcome to apply or, where applicable, we provide full statutory induction for ECTs and the School is also able to train new entrants to the profession. Regardless of the level of experience, a deep vocational commitment to teaching is essential.

Applicants should complete the Application Form, which can be accessed directly from our website: www.slcuk.com and send it via email to the HR Department: hr@slcuk.com.

Applications will be considered upon receipt, therefore early applications are encouraged.

Closing Date: 30 April 2023

The College reserves the right to interview and appoint before the closing date.

St Lawrence College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening including checks with past employers, prohibition orders and enhanced DBS Disclosure.
