Due to the promotion of the existing Head of Science, we are looking to appoint a new Head of Science at New Line Learning Academy.

This is an exciting time to join the Academy.  As a result of increasing numbers, we are expanding the department and looking to further develop our science labs and learning spaces.  We are looking for a successful candidate who can lead these renovations and plans, be an inspirational teacher and a visionary leader: continuing to raise standards and levels of achievement within the department. Could you be that candidate?

The Science department at New Line Learning Academy are friendly, hardworking and keen to develop science across the entire academy.  There has been extensive investment in equipment and learning spaces over the past two years and therefore you will have at your disposal, the most up to date labs, equipment, and learning Plazas.  A cornerstone of our educational vision is to give all staff and students access to the very best technology with an infrastructure that supports engagement and learning, and we would expect our head of science to actively lead in this area.

The successful applicant will have strong subject knowledge and skills derived from a graduate Science background.  You will have a flexible and enthusiastic attitude and a commitment to embed a positive culture of learning amongst staff and students. You will have the ability to motivate colleagues and communicate effectively at all levels.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • The ability to teach up to KS3 and KS4
  • Possess recent, relevant teaching experience
